This is a live session. No recording. If you cannot make it live, save your spot for the next round!
A lot of VAs and OBMs use “sorry” as a softener. Sorry for following up. Sorry for needing clarity. Sorry for saying no.
The kicker is, most of the time, you are not actually at fault! You are just trying to keep things smooth.
This workshop shows you how to remove the unnecessary apologies and replace them with language that still feels human, but lands with authority, so you can stop feeling like the employee in your client interactions.
spot the sneaky “sorry” habits that quietly lower your professional tone
say no (or not yet) without cushioning it with an apology
use simple swaps that keep you warm and clear, not blunt and defensive
hold your boundary without writing a whole essay
follow up without feeling pushy or awkward
use simple swaps that keep you warm and clear, not blunt and defensive
sound more confident in client messages
stop over-explaining and second-guessing
be clear without feeling rude
lead client communication with less stress
1. When there is actually nothing to apologise for
2. When you are saying no
3. When you need inputs from a client

I’m now more aware of how often I was undermining myself with unnecessary apologies. It was the perfect reminder (complete with scripts) to back myself and be confident in my communication.
I actually printed the handout and put it above my monitor… those prompts gave me easy changes I could make instantly. After a while it just became habit to not say sorry when it wasn’t required.
Changing my language to be more affirmative and be the leader in my own business… the Sorry Swap Sheet is a very handy tool to have in your toolkit.
